I Admit It! I……
~Sometimes wipe the crumbs INTO the couch cushions. If the floor looks clean, no way do I want to vacuum, and hey, let’s face it, I will be the one to clean out under the cushions at some point anyway.
~Love it when I can make it to bed before dark. Very different from when I was a teenager, but this lil’ dream so rarely comes true around here that it is practically celebration worthy when I crawl into bed during sunset.
~Often have no idea when a holiday has come and gone. Especially something like Saint Patty’s Day, (I get pinched on a daily basis), or Mardi Gras, (the only topless one around here is the baby, and if Legos were beads, sure, we’d have lots of them being thrown around….)
~Pity the Mommies out there who do not have dogs. They clean up everything. EVERYTHING. There really is no such thing as a picky eater when talking about dogs. Vacuuming is only one of the amazing services these hairy housemaids provide.
~Read in the shower. Seriously. I am at that point in my life where that is the only 10 minutes I can truly call my own. And by “my own”, I mean to say with children and dogs crowding and whining at the shower door.
~Often do not change into “real” clothes unless I know my husband is coming home. Why get dressed when you know you will have a crust made of spitup, grape jelly, shreds of crayon wrapping, old Band-Aids, ketchup, and something weird and unidentified all over you? Joseph and his Technicolor dreamcoat ain’t got nothin’ on me!
~Pretend that I really have been properly clothed and fresh-smelling all day when my hubby comes home. (After frantically cleaning, de-ketchuping, combing, and straightening the house, myself, and children in the 30 minutes before he comes home.) I truly love to play June Cleaver for my husband; complete with homecooked meals and happy wifey in a cute apron. I’m not sure who I play during the day, some sort of crazy pj lady, but she is often gone by the time the hubs gets home from work…and thank goodness she leaves at some point; she may be awesome at getting things done, but she looks frightening, quite frankly!
